A Great Harwood mountain bike racer has been given support to help him achieve his sporting goals.
Ian Forsyth, a 28-year-old professional 4 Cross Mountain Bike racer, has received backing from Haydock Finance through their employee charity scheme.
The initiative allows employees of the asset finance company to assist a charity, organisation or individual’s campaign.
Mr Forsyth is a well-known figure in the mountain biking community and has had success in the British Championships over the past three years.
He is now aiming to win the British Championship in 2024 and compete in Europe.
Mr Forsyth said: "I am so grateful to Haydock Finance for their generous support through the charity scheme.
"The gazebo is invaluable for my mobile pitstops.
"I can’t thank them enough for believing in me and helping me pursue my goals."
Haydock Finance has been offering financial support to UK SMEs for more than 40 years and is based in Blackburn.
Lea Lawrence, marketing manager at Haydock Finance, said: "We are thrilled to support Ian Forsyth as he competes at the highest levels of his sport.
"His dedication and hard work aligns with our values so we are delighted that our charity scheme has enabled us to be part of his journey towards championship victory and international recognition."
