Officers have issued a warning after a car was found abandoned, in a dangerous condition, in Nelson.
On Monday (August 19), police received reports of an abandoned vehicle that had been parked on Lonsdale Street.
The car was destroyed and the front of the vehicle had been badly damaged.
Officers said it is not okay to leave a vehicle in a dangerous condition, on a public road.
Anyone who sees an abandoned vehicle has been asked to get in touch.
A police spokesperson said: “On Monday, we had a report of this abandoned vehicle that had been parked on Lonsdale Street.
“It is not ok to abandon a vehicle in a dangerous condition on a public highway.
“If you know of any vehicles parked like this one on a public highway please reply to this message with the location and vehicle details.”
