Sue Ryder's Blackburn charity shop is hosting a single-day 'Summer Savings' sale this Saturday, August 24.

The King Street shop is slashing prices on a wide range of products including kids' clothing, toys, games, and pre-loved furniture.

Scheduled to run from 9.30am to 5pm, the sale day will have all children's wear reduced to £1, a 50 per cent off toys and games and 20 per cent off gently used furniture.

Besides shopping, visitors can expect a day packed with family-friendly fun.

There will be sweet treats, cakes, plus a series of special guest appearances, including Chase from Paw Patrol, stirring up excitement amongst the little ones.

Shop manager Gemma McGuire, said: "With the rain we’ve had and temperatures not where they should be for August, we thought it would be great to try and bring a little sunshine with a fun discount event while raising more money so Sue Ryder can be there when it matters for anyone approaching the end of life or dealing with grief.

"Whether you need to stock up on kid's essentials and games to keep them entertained while off school or need to refurbish your house on a budget, you are guaranteed a bargain, whilst supporting a great cause."

Sue Ryder operates nearly 400 shops strategically located in high streets, retail parks and shopping centres nationwide.

Proceeds from the sale will support the charities' hospices, palliative care hubs and bereavement services.
