Officers have urged the public to “do the right thing” and report any potential drug drivers after reports of vehicles being driven under the influence, in Burnley.

There have been reports of vehicles being driven under the influence of controlled substances on Oswald Street, near a primary school.

While it is the school holidays, children are still attending summer school and other events.

Suspected drug driving can be reported via Crimestoppers or 101.

A police spokesperson said: “There have been reports made recently of vehicles being driven whilst the driver is under the influence of controlled substances on Oswald Street, Burnley.

“This is especially concerning due to this road being next to a primary school and nursery premises. Although it is the school holidays there are still children attending for summer school and other events. 

“If you suspect someone of drug driving, we urge you to do the right thing to keep the driver and other innocent road users safe.
