Three fire engines were called to a house fire in Brierfield at the weekend.

At around 10.50am, on Sunday, August 18, three fire engines from Nelson and Burnley attended a blaze on Heather Close.

Fire crews were in attendance for 40 minutes.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 10:53 on August 18, three fire engines from Nelson and Burnley attended a domestic building fire on Heather Close, Brierfield.

"Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for 40 minutes.”
