A man police had wanted to speak to in connection with an alleged “nasty assault on a woman” has now been found.
Earlier this week Lancashire Police appealed to the public for help to find a man they named as Jonathon Crook, who they wanted to speak to in connection with an incident in Darwen.
Officers have now confirmed that Crook, 42, has been found and arrested in connection with the alleged assault.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “We asked for your help earlier to find a Jonathon Crook who we wanted to speak to about a nasty assault on a woman in Darwen earlier this month.
“Just to update you he has now been arrested.
“Many thanks for all your help and have a happy and a safe weekend.”
The alleged assault was said by police officers to have been carried out on a woman in Darwen earlier this month.

According to police Crook, who is believed to have possibly been sleeping rough, has links to Darwen and Hoddlesden.
Anyone with any more information or concerns can call police on 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.
