St Wilfrid's C of E Academy in Blackburn has shared details of some of its top performers following this year's A-Level results.
Students at the sixth form were all praised for their hard work and dedication throughout the academic year.
Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Heidi Cass said: “We are proud of all of our students for their commitment and perseverance. Their achievements are a credit to their efforts and the support provided by our dedicated staff.”
Among the top performers were James Toase, who achieved four A* grades and will now study Physics with Astro Physics at the University of Manchester.
He said “I am very happy with my results and relieved to have gotten 4 A* grades! I’m thankful for the support from the Academy throughout my time here – it’s been incredible.”
Olivia McAlary earned two A* and two A grades and is set to study Classical Studies at Edinburgh University.
Emma Shaw, with three A grades and an A*, will also pursue Physics at the University of Manchester.
Zara Khan, who earned four A grades, will be going on to study Pharmacy.
She said “I’m a little overwhelmed but really happy as they were tricky subjects.
"St Wilfrid’s was an amazing little family with warm and kind teachers. I did my work experience in a Pharmacy and see myself going into that field, so I can’t wait for this next step at uni.”
Jacob Lambert, got three A grades and one A* who will be going on to study Mathematics.
The school said a number of students are also progressing on to prestigious apprenticeship programmes with a range of employers including BAE Systems, Westinghouse, the NHS and Royal Mail.
