A man from Colne has been charged over violent disorder in Southport.
He was one of three men charged over the offences following incidents in the town earlier this month.
Jonathan Duerden, 31, of The Crescent, has been remanded to appear at Wirral Magistrates’ Court.
Joshua Jones, 31, of St Mark’s Road, St Helens, has been charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. He has been remanded to appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court.
Andrew Jackson, 41, of Ramford Street, also of St Helens, has been charged with violent disorder and possession of a controlled Class B drug (cannabis). He has also been remanded to appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court.
It brings the number of charges for disorder in Merseyside to 38 people, with 12 of these already sentenced to prison.
