A colourful cast of Lego characters has been unveiled across Blackburn as a popular town centre trail meets the charm of Alice in Wonderland.
Promoters of 'Brickburn' have placed characters from Lewis Carroll's famous tale around the town, following on from similar outings with Paw Patrol and dinosaurs.
Questions linked to each of the intricate models, including Alice, The Mad Hatter, The Queen of Hearts, March Hare and Dormouse, enable shoppers to enter a prize draw for £150 worth of shopping vouchers.
And adventurers also have the chance to secure their own Mini Mad Hatter Lego model if they can follow a letters trail in 13 more spots.
The newly-launched Discover Blackburn website is behind the initiative, which runs until August 26, alongside Blackburn Business Improvement District (BID) and Fairy Bricks.
The latter is a charity which donates Lego sets to children's hospices and paediatric hospital wards.
Each of the custom Mini Mad Hatters is 30cm tall and uses 14 different colours of brick - they took 25 hours to design and are assembled using 856 bricks.
In order to achieve the detailing required, the models are constructed using SNOT (studs not on top) bricks, according to organisers.
Catherine Price, Blackburn BID manager, said: ""We are thrilled to bring this magical Lego trail to Blackburn.
"It’s a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy creative fun while supporting a great cause.
"Blackburn has so many amazing businesses and so much to do in the town centre, it’s a great opportunity for visitors to see the spectacular models and visit the brilliant businesses we have."
In order to enter each of the competitions, people can pick up a leaflet at the 'Ask Me' Point in Blackburn Mall and follow the twin trails around well-known town centre spots.
More information about the trial is also available online at the Discover Blackburn website - discoverblackburn.co.uk
