Crews remain in attendance at a fire at Whitworth Medical Centre.
One fire engine from Bacup, as well as three units from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, attended just before 8am today (August 12).
Whitworth Medical Centre said in a Facebook post they would be closed today and likely tomorrow too due to fire damage.
They said: "We won't be open today and unlikely tomorrow due to fire damage at the surgery.
"Anyone who has an appointment today and tomorrow, please do not attend. We will reschedule everyone as soon as possible.
"Thank you for your understanding."
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Three fire engines from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue, along with one fire engine from Bacup attended a commercial building fire on Market Street, Whitworth.
"Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Crews are still in attendance."
