Producers of the iconic daytime show Come Dine With Me are on the lookout for contestants to take part in the upcoming series of the show.
Filming is due to take place across Lancashire and Greater Manchester, and production teams are on the lookout for people who are interested in taking part in the 22nd series.
Whether you are an aspiring chef or an experienced party host, the Channel 4 show which has been running for almost 20 years brings together a group of strangers to wine and dine together – sometimes resulting in fireworks.
Dishes sometimes go down a hit, while on other occasions the food looks almost inedible, and while many times contestants leave as friends, sometimes they end up as sworn enemies.
East Lancashire has history with the show, with one of its most iconic contestants, Whisk Man aka Kev Riley, hailing from Burnley, and the show being filmed in Blackburn and Rossendale a number of times over the years.
Mark Dempsey, from Brierfield, who appeared on the same shows as Kev, said at the time: “I think they chose us as they thought we wouldn’t get on together but we had a real laugh.
“I’ve been in touch with Kev and Sally quite a bit since the show and hope to stay friends with them. The experience was quite intense but was also a lot of fun.”
Multistory Media, which produces the show, is on the lookout for people to take part, with each weekly mini-series featuring five contestants battling it out to host the best dinner party and take home the £1,000 cash prize.
Entrants must be 18 years old or above, resident in the UK and not have worked or trained as a professional chef.
The closing date for entries is October 25, and to apply for the show visit cdwm@multistory.tv, or visit bit.ly/cdwm2024.
