A survey has revealed which places in the country have the lifestyles that are most envied, with one Lancashire town featuring.
The research was conducted by calculator.co.uk and included responses from 3,000 people.
The results showed the UK's lifestyle rankings, with St Ives in Cornwall taking the top spot, followed by towns such as Harrogate, Henley-on-Thames, Bath, and Sandbanks.
Lytham St Annes ranked 99th in the survey.
Known for its beaches, historical buildings, and community spirit, Lytham St Annes offers recreational activities, good schools, and a strong sense of community.
The survey also considered the changes resulting from the pandemic and the rise of remote work, leading to a preference for smaller towns and suburban areas.
Calculator.co.uk's survey showed the following places had the most envied lifestyles:
1. St Ives, Cornwall
2. Harrogate, North Yorkshire
3. Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire
4. Bath, Somerset
5. Sandbanks, Dorset
6. Salcombe, Devon
7. Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
8. Conwy, Conwy
9. Melrose, Scottish Borders
10. Ascot, Berkshire
A spokesperson for calculator.co.uk said: "The pandemic has clearly reshaped how Britons choose their living environment.
"Our survey reveals a growing interest in locations that combine the tranquillity and space of rural areas with the convenience and vibrancy of city life.
"The 100 areas voted in our survey exemplify the evolving aspirations of Britons in the post-pandemic era."
St Ives was credited with stunning beaches, a vibrant arts scene, and a charming fishing harbour.
It's also home to the Tate St Ives gallery and numerous art studios.
Topping the list for the North, Harrogate is a historic spa town renowned for its architecture and gardens.
The town also reportedly has excellent schools and a range of independent shops contributing to its high quality of life.
