Two men will stand trial after denying a burglary in Rishton.
Dion Garswood, 26, and Lee Grieve, 43, appeared in the dock at Preston Crown Court where they entered not guilty pleas.
This was the only charge for Grieve, of Ballantrae Road, Blackburn, while Garswood, of Sower Carr Lane, Hambleton, also denied offences of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and suffocation.
The alleged burglary is said to have happened on June 1, 2023 at an address in Rishton, where the prosecution says a dog was stolen.
Both defendants deny entering the property.
A trial was scheduled for September 23, 2025, and is expected to last three to four days.
Both defendants were released on conditional bail and their next court appearance will be on June 29, 2025, for a pre-trial review.
