A man has been arrested after two pedestrians were involved in a crash with a tipper truck.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following the incident in Morecambe Road, Blackburn.
A woman suffered serious injuries while a man suffered minor injuries.
Both have been taken to hospital.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said they were called to the scene by North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) at around 12.20pm today (August 6) but were stood down on arrival.
Members of the public reported seeing the air ambulance in attendance.
NWAS and the North West Air Ambulance Charity have been contacted for comment.
