A man has been ordered to pay compensation to two police officers after racially abusing them.
Matthew Scorer, 35, threatened and abused the officers outside Brierfield train station in July last year.
Scorer, of Spring Lane, Blackburn, was sentenced to eight weeks in prison suspended for 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay £100 in compensation.
A spokesperson for the Crown Prosecution Service said: “Matthew Scorer, 35, of Blackburn, must pay two Lancashire Police officers £100 compensation after threatening and racially abusing them outside Brierfield train station in July last year.
“He was also sentenced to eight weeks imprisonment (which included an uplift for racism) suspended for 12 months.”
