An East Lancashire law firm which specialises in immigration cases could be targeted by protestors tomorrow according to a list of targets shared on social media.
Amongst those included on the list of targets is a law firm's offices based in Whalley Road, Accrington.
In Preston, another office in Church Street is listed, while in Blackpool an office in Lytham Road is also set to be targeted.
It appears the list is made up of immigration clinics and lawyers across the country which aim to provide advice to people on visas and other legal services.
A message alongside the list says protestors should ‘mask up’ and gather at 8pm on Wednesday, August 7.
It added: "They won't stop coming until you tell them... no more immigration."
A law firm based in Accrington said it was not aware of the post, which was only shared on Monday.
Lancashire Police said it would ‘robustly investigate any offences’.
This second round of planned marches comes after a small group gathered in Blackburn on Saturday but quickly dispersed.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “We are monitoring information at a local and national level around possible disruption, enabling us to have the right level of resources on duty to respond to any incidents safely and robustly in Lancashire, where required to do so.
“We continue to work with communities and partners to ensure we are ready to respond to any concerns or incidents and have been grateful for the public’s support.
“If there are outbreaks of disorder, we will robustly investigate any offences committed to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
“If anyone has any information regarding pre-planned disorder or criminality, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
On Monday, Downing Street said action taken by social media companies to tackle misleading and inflammatory material “doesn’t go far enough’.
Today, justice minister Heidi Alexander said: “The idea that you can sit behind a computer screen or sit behind the screen of your mobile phone and somehow think that that protects you from the law is for the birds.
“So, we will take a very robust approach to the social media companies, I know that Peter Kyle the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology is already in conversation with them.
“There has been some welcome action where there has been automated removal of some false information, but I do think the social media companies could and should be doing more.
“They have got a moral responsibility not to be propagating and disseminating misleading and inflammatory content on their platforms.”
In an update this week, Lancashire Police said 22 people had been arrested over disturbances during the weekend.
Of those 20 people arrested in Blackpool, one in Blackburn and one in Preston.
Of those detained, 18 were bailed with four people now charged.
