Accrington singer Diana Vickers entertained crowds at the Edinburgh Fringe, after her show was cancelled due to a power cut.
The former X Factor contestant is the star of I Wish You Well, a musical parody about the real-life court case involving Gwyneth Paltrow.
The Underbelly production show, with choreography by former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips, is being shown at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, which takes place until August 26.
The performance on Saturday, August 3, had to be cancelled due to a power cut that impacted the whole festival.
Diana’s performance was set to be aired at the iconic Udderbelly venue, which is inside a huge upside-down cow, complete with inflatable head and legs.
However, the venue began to deflate after the power cut impacted the generators keeping the head and legs full of air.
Undeterred by the cancellations, Diane and other performers, including guitarist Dominic Barker, put on an impromptu acoustic show for crowds.
Diana said: “The whole power has gone in Edinburgh so the whole festival is basically stopped and the cow is sinking and we don’t know when it’s going to go back on.”
Musical director, Debbi Clarke, shared a video of Diana singing a song from the musical.
She said: “The power went out so our show was cancelled. Did a little impromptu acoustic bit instead."
Packed full of iconic moments, the show includes the moment she whispered “I wish you well” to Terry as she left the courtroom after winning the court case.
The Oscar-winning actress won the civil lawsuit, brought by retired optometrist Terry Sanderson.
Ms Paltrow was cleared of all fault over the incident, which occurred at the Deer Valley resort in Utah, which left Mr Sanderson with several broken ribs and head injuries.
Jurors deliberated for just over two hours before returning a verdict in her favour, and awarding her damages of one dollar.
She said: “It's going to be iconic. Thank you Gwyneth Paltrow for bringing us the moment we never knew we needed.
“So excited to be working with the most powerhouse team!”
The show has already received rave reviews since airing last week.
One person said it is a “raucous and irreverent musical satire from Roger Dipper and Rick Pearson that delivers on many levels”.
I Wish You Well will be on at Udderbelly, Underbelly George Square, until August 26.
