Blackburn town hall, 1992
Emergency repair work had to be carried out at Blackburn town hall in 1992.
Some of the cladding at the top of the new town hall tower block had come loose and was in danger of falling on to pedestrians below.
A special crane had to be brought in to reach the top of the tower for repairs to be carried out.
