A student has seen his videos go down a storm on TikTok, in which he visits towns around Lancashire and reviews them.
Jonti Richardson-Jones, who goes by the username @j0nti on the social media platform, has received more than 100,000 followers through his reviews.
Jonti, from Wigan, has visited Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, and Chorley on his travels, along with a number of other places in the North West.
The construction student at Salford University began making videos of his daily life, before moving into travel pieces.
It is his reviews of different North West towns, however, that have gained him the 126,000 followers and 2.2 million likes that he has today.
Starting with his hometown of Wigan, Jonti visits different towns and villages and gives his, sometimes brutal, observations of them.
In his initial review of his hometown Wigan, from 2022, he dubbed the town “the place where dreams go to die.”
It was his video of Chorley that made his account start to gain traction.
Since then, he has received floods of comments from viewers asking him to review other places in the Northwest.
In all of his videos, Jonti offers funny observations, not holding back in his comments about the towns.
Upon his visit to Blackburn, he gave the town a five out of 10 score, saying the score was "mainly because it’s got a Cathedral. That’s my only reason".
He described Darwen as "a pretty cool place, it’s nice", and gave it an eight rating, while Burnley scored a seven.
Accrington scored a four, with Jonti calling it the "emptiest town" he has ever seen.
In another video, he said that Preston “stinks", while Whalley was scored a 10/10.
Despite his scathing reviews of the towns, Jonti upholds that he likes Lancashire.
In his 2023 video about Burnley, he was complimentary about the town.
Impressed by The Swan and the Singing Ringing Tree, Jonti said: “I didn’t think it was going to be a nice place, but it actually is.
"I’m very shocked. I would probably come here again.”
On visiting the Pound Maze in the town, he sarcastically added: "It took me an hour to get out, I got lost. Definitely got my pound’s worth.”
