A major Blackburn junction close to the town centre is shut to traffic.
One lane of King Street heading into the town centre is closed as work takes place on gas pipes.
The section heading out of town is still open and unaffected by the works.
Work is set to be completed by August 1.
There will also be delays on Montague Street on the junction with Feilden Street until next week as further works takes place.
One lane has been shut meaning drivers will have to find alternative routes into the town centre.
