Two East Lancashire campsites have been named in an 'Outstanding Site' list for 2024.
One of the UK’s go-to camping and glamping booking platforms, Campsites.co.uk, has announced its 'Outstanding Sites' list for 2024.
The annual list highlights 'the very best' camping, glamping, and touring sites across the UK, celebrating those which offer campers a reliably great holiday.
Making the list is Northwood Caravan Holiday Park in Longsight Road, near Salesbury, welcoming adults only on a range of hardstanding pitches for caravans and motorhomes.
Set just 15 minutes from the Forest of Bowland Area of Natural Beauty and just five miles from Blackburn town centre, guests are also within five minutes from excellent restaurants including Michelin-starred Northcote.
The site gained a 4.88-star rating on Campsites.co.uk's travel listing, with 100 per cent of guests saying they would recommend the site.
Guests continue to leave huge praise for the site, with comments including "the site is beautifully presented, and the showers and toilets are immaculately clean."
Another of the sites selected is Deerstone Glamping in, Earby, offering guests a unique glamping experience in spacious glamping domes with a panoramic view over Malham and Ingleborough.
Each dome has an individual hot tub and fire pit for relaxing in the evenings; there is also a cinema dome and a barrel sauna.
The site gained a 4.89-star rating, with 100 per cent of guests saying they would recommend the site.
Positive comments include: "This glamping dome is one of the most beautiful and different things I've stayed in," and "the detail that has gone into these domes is amazing, they have everything you need".
From eco-forest hideaways to family-friendly holiday parks and luxury glamping, the campsites that made the 150-strong list are a combination of award winners and other sites which have continually gained excellent reviews and delivered a first-class experience.
