More than a thousand staff from family owned furniture manufacturer The Senator Group were treated to a fun day with a difference.

Employees were given VIP treatment at The Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show, with an exclusive hospitality area and priority entrance.

Workers' children were given free access to the show’s fairground rides, along with free ice cream, hot dogs, candy floss and waffles.

For the adults, there was an unlimited free bar and pulled pork sandwiches, thanks to the Mytton Fold Hotel, The Senator Group’s sister company.

After the show had closed to the public, the over-18s returned for an office party with a difference, with BBC Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills. The free bar was served by the company’s directors.

Guests were entertained by fire artists, glitter ball dancers, and a neon robot which took centre stage on the dance floor. curry.

The Senator Group and The Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show share a chair, Colin Mustoe, who founded the company back in 1976.

Colin remains the driving force behind the show and allows the event to take place at his home, Salesbury Hall in Ribchester.

Each year, more than 20,000 visitors flock to the oldest agricultural show in the country, to see animal shows, horse parades, military and fire brigade demonstrations and fairground rides.

They also browse the many craft, lifestyle and food stalls, displaying the best of what Lancashire has to offer.

Colin Mustoe said: “We see our people as our greatest asset, and we put a high value on rewarding them.

"Since the pandemic, we have a new appreciation for being able to socialise together with our families.

"The Royal Lancashire Show is a spectacular event, with something for everybody. The perfect location for our annual Family Fun Day!”
