Police are hoping a potential witness to a report of alleged child neglect will come forward.
Officer said the incident happened at Travelodge, New Hall Lane, Preston on Wednesday, January 31.
A police spokesperson said: “We appreciate this happened some time ago, and whilst we have been making enquiries since that date, we are now asking for your help.
“We received a report of alleged child neglect at Travelodge, New Hall Lane, Preston on Wednesday, January 31. It was reported to have happened at around 7:30pm.
We believe that this woman may have witnessed the offence.
“We want to stress that this woman is only being treated as a witness and has no involvement in our investigation.
“If this is you, or if you know who this witness is, please contact us on 101 quoting log 1196 of January 31 2024.”
