A popular family-run Oswaldtwistle restaurant is celebrating after winning a regional restaurant award.

The Plough has been run by the Reid family since 2016 and triumphed at England's Business Awards.

The black-tie ceremony took place at the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester, which celebrated businesses from across the North West.

Winners will now go on to represent the region at a national event.

The Plough offers a wide-ranging menu with a selection of beers, wines, gins and cocktails.

A five-course chef's menu changes monthly and the restaurant has live music on throughout the year especially in the run up to Christmas and on New Year's Eve.

Steven Reid and son Mathew run the restaurant with support from Janna, Mathew’s mum and Steven’s wife.

Steven said: "We are thrilled to win this award and it means a great deal to us to have been recognised in this way.

“It is a team effort and everyone plays an important part in the running of the restaurant and bar, from our part-time restaurant and bar staff to our pot washers, kitchen staff and chefs.

“It would not run smoothly if we didn't all work together as a team.

“We are really looking forward to competing in the National Finals in November in Birmingham. And last but not least many thanks to everyone who voted for us and for your continued support.”
