A busy junction in Blackburn is closed after a sink hole developed at a traffic lights.
One lane of Feilden Street where it meets Montague Street was closed to traffic. Drivers may have noticed a defect in the road when turning from Montague Street in recent weeks.
The section of the road has now been dug up so workers can rectify the problem.
Drivers are unable to turn right on to Feilden Street from Montague Street. For access to Blackburn Library and the Reel Cinema drivers must take King Street and then Barton Street.
The lane on Fielden Street on to Montague Street in unaffected.
