Crowds of music-lovers descended on Sawley at the weekend to attend Beat-Herder Festival.
Pictures have emerged of festival-goers enjoying the event, which ran from July 18 to July 21.
Some of the acts included Leftfield, Orbital, Sub Focus, The Wailers, Beans on Toast and Henge.
There were also DJ sets from the likes of A Little Sound, Utah Saints, Flavio and Grooverider and Sosa.
The festival was first held in 2006 and features musicians from across the world as well as Lancashire.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Beat-Herder’s capacity would be reduced amid speculation that this year’s event was going to be cancelled due to economic pressures.
Organisers did not rule out having a ‘fallow year’ next year [a break from festivals to give organisers and the land a chance to recover].
On their official Facebook page organisers said: “Recently we’ve seen a lot of other festivals pull the plug on their 2024 editions, taking a fallow year to ride out the huge price increases and we can totally see where they’re coming from.
“Beat-Herder is not immune and the truth of the matter is, with the costs that are now filtering through, running this year’s event in its usual form is not possible.
“The savage economic realities have put us in a bit of a pickle. We could call a fallow year and come back swinging into 2025, it’s the risk-free option that’d allow us to sleep at night…
“…but sleeping at night is not what we’re about! We started with free parties in the early noughties, began our own small festival in 2006 and have grown organically to the scale you now know.
“We’ve run events of all shapes and sizes, battled floods, fires and financial squeezes and there’s absolutely NO WAY we’re cancelling or postponing!
“We’re reducing the capacity, a bijou Beat-Herder, on a scale reminiscent of the early days. The advertised line-up will remain, and so will most of the venues. Tubes, tunnels, flames, flags, bubbles, bells and whistles will all be there.
“We won’t be cutting corners, we’ll be adding new ones and bringing you an intimate event with a thicker layer of Beat-Herder love spread right to the edges.”
Despite the reduced capacity, ticket-holders still appeared to have a fantastic weekend.
Some hailed it as “one of the top festivals” and others say it was the best Beat-Herder to date.
One person said: “This year's was a very good one it's in my top three . Well done Herder folk, you know how to do a party.”
Another said: “My first ever festival and it was amazing thanks so much Beat Herder see you next year.”
Another ticket holder said: “I am back home from Beat-Herder. My favourite four days of the year. It was incredible.”
A spokesperson for Beat-Herder said: "An incredible weekend has been had by everyone. [It was great to see] the biggest smiles on the faces of all you happy people."
