Foulridge War Memorial has been enhanced with new planters after a property developer donated £4,000 to the council.

Keighley-based Skipton Properties donated £4,000 to Foulridge Parish Council to enhance the war memorial at the heart of the village by funding new planters that will 'invigorate the community’s environment and ecosystem'.

The recent enhancements at the war memorial are part of Skipton Properties’ "ongoing commitment to creating thriving communities" in the areas where it builds.

The new planters not only brighten up the local area, but also align with the natural stone countryside aesthetic Foulridge is known for.

Caroline van Niekerk, sales and creative director for Skipton Properties, said: “We are immensely proud of our Croft Mill site in Foulridge, which has seamlessly integrated into the local community’s established look and feel.

"It’s important to us that our developments enhance and blend with their surroundings.

"Also thank you to Chair Kevin Salter and all the Foulridge Parish Councillors who volunteer and dedicate their time to looking after and maintaining the wonderful village.

"Skipton Properties remains committed to supporting local initiatives and fostering community spirit."

Croft Mill, Skipton Properties' development in Foulridge is close to the war memorial and is nearing completion.
