East Lancashire Hospice has been selected as the charity partner for Oswaldtwistle Mills for the upcoming year.

The local shopping village in Hyndburn has been a dedicated supporter of the hospice for several years, engaging in numerous fundraising activities, raffles, and events.

Last year, the partnership reached new heights with the opening of the hospice’s pre-loved boutique within Oswaldtwistle Mills.

Leanne Green, head of fundraising at East Lancashire Hospice, said: "We absolutely love working with the team at Oswaldtwistle Mills.

"Everyone is so caring and friendly, and to be chosen as their charity again this year is incredible.

"This year marks our 40th year, celebrating four decades of caring for our community; making the partnership even more special.

"We heavily rely on the support from our community to ensure we can continue to be here for another 40 years.

"It's really exciting to work with local businesses on charity partnerships, and we are over the moon to be working with everyone at Oswaldtwistle Mills again."

This pop-up shop, stocked with pre-loved items donated by supporters, has been instrumental in raising crucial funds for the charity.

Oswaldtwistle Mills has been a supporter of East Lancashire Hospice since 2018 and has raised over £38,000 from both the pre-loved boutique and various fundraising activities.

Earlier this year, the staff at Oswaldtwistle Mills were given the opportunity to vote for their preferred charity, and East Lancashire Hospice is thrilled to have been chosen as their charity partner once again.

Nick Pitman, managing director of Oswaldtwistle Mills said: “We are thrilled to be supporting East Lancashire Hospice again, as voted by our colleagues.

"This decision highlights just how special the charity is to so many people.”

The renewed partnership and ongoing support from Oswaldtwistle Mills and the broader community is vital to the hospice’s mission of providing compassionate care and support to those in need.
