Community CVS in Blackburn has been lauded by Ofsted for significant improvements across all aspects of its training centre provision.

The organisation has now opened enrolment for the next cohort of its "Aspiring Leaders in Health and Social Care Skills for Life Bootcamp", set to commence in September.

This follows an Ofsted inspection that commended Community CVS for an ambitious and effective curriculum.

The inspection evaluated the "Aspiring Leaders" programme, including review of policies and consultation with CVS leadership and management.

Key observations from the Ofsted report included acknowledgement of Community CVS leaders' ambition for what learners can achieve, the quality of training that boosts confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills, and effective feedback use in refining the curriculum.

Building on this success, the next 10-week cohort will be funded by the UK Government.

The programme offers an accredited qualification in leadership and management, offering participants essential skills for career progression.

Garth Hodgkinson, chief executive of Community CVS, said: "The recognition from Ofsted validates our ongoing efforts to provide exceptional training and support.

"Alongside the range of training we provide at Community CVS, our Aspiring Leaders Bootcamp is a cornerstone of our mission to empower individuals and enhance the capacity of the health and social care sector."
