A 16-year-old boy is among those charged in connection to a police investigation into East Lancashire drug supply.

Last week, police arrested people as part of their investigation.

Jamie Hunton, 39, Edward Street, Bacup has now been charged with conspiracy to supply a class B drug.

Stephen Farran, 36, Millstream Close, Bacup, has also been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Anthony McKenna, 37, of Newchurch Road, Newchurch, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with conspiracy to supply class B drugs, and a 17-year-old boy from Bacup has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs.

Both boys cannot be named for legal reasons due to their ages.

Frankie Taylor, 32, Booth Crescent, Waterfoot has also been charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs.

Gary Herbert, 37, of Bacup, has also been arrested in relation to the investigation.

A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “We told you last week that we had arrested more people as part of an investigation into the supply of drugs in East Lancashire and we wanted to update you.

"A number of people have been previously charged. Some of those charged have been remanded in custody and others bailed by the court pending trial.

“We would once again like to thank the community for their co-operation and support.
