A property group has launched a public consultation for a 90 home neighbourhood in Barnoldswick.
Muller Property Group has announced the launch of the first stage of public consultation on the proposed future development of the Fernbank site.
Acquired by Hope Technology in 2014, the site has remained unoccupied for the past decade following the demolition of the historic Fernbank Mill.
This consultation marks an important step towards transforming this 5.7-acre brownfield site into a vibrant community asset.
The proposed scheme will deliver 90 homes, including one and two bedroom apartments, two and three bedroom townhouses, and three and four bedroom semi-detached homes, with an affordable housing allocation, featuring a mix of both private and communal gardens.
Muller Property Group plans to reintroduce a sense of community to the site by adding new homes that will enhance the existing residential offerings in Barnoldswick
Collectively, these proposals aim to positively contribute to the economic future of Barnoldswick, creating new employment opportunities and delivering much-needed housing.
Ian Weatherill, director at Hope Technology, said: “Muller Property Group has a track record of delivery and we’re excited to embark on this journey and engage with the local community to transform Fernbank into a thriving residential community that honours Barnoldswick’s rich heritage.”
Colin Muller, founder and chief executive of the Muller Property Group, said: “We value the opinions and insights of the local community, and we invite everyone to participate in this consultation process and share their thoughts.
“Together, we can create a development that reflects the spirit and values of Barnoldswick.” The public consultation will provide an opportunity for local residents, businesses, and stakeholders to share their views and contribute to shaping the future of Fernbank.
