An organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses has unveiled an exciting array of summer activities for all ages.

HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) will host a summer programme of family-friendly events running from July to September at Shores Hey Farm in Briercliffe, near Burnley.

Activities include the Olympics Summer Trail, taking place from July 19 to September 1, from 11am to 4pm each day.

The Olympic-themed trail features six tactile challenges.

Every Tuesday, visitors can participate in Pony Grooming Sessions from 11am to 3pm, enabling visitors to groom one of HAPPA's horses under staff supervision.

Another highlight is the 'Own a Pony Day', which provides children aged 6 to 16 with an immersive opportunity to bond with a HAPPA pony.

A special guest this summer will be Enzo the Junk Horse, a life-sized sculpture by Sarah Mae Francis that will be visible throughout the season.

The HAPPA Café and the HAPPA Direct Shop will welcome visitors seven days a week from 9am to 3.30pm, serving a range of food and drinks including Walling's Ice Cream, cakes and treats.
