The academic year has come to an end and for those students who have completed their studies, all that remains is the annual graduation ceremony.

This week in Looking Back we have gone into the archives to showcase a selection of photos showing graduation celebrations from Blackburn College in the late 1990s.

Perhaps you were a student at the college during this period. If so you may recoginse some of the graduates on the photos or you may even be on one yourself.

Graduates were successful in a range of disciplines, with many courses tailored to vocational qualifications.
