England are preparing to take on Spain in the UEFA Euro 2024 final on Sunday (July 14) – but where are you planning on watching it?
England reached the final after Ollie Watkins' fantastic last-minute strike secured a 2-1 win over the Netherlands on Wednesday, July 10.
Pubs and venues across East Lancashire have pulled out all the stops for the final and hope to create a great atmosphere to cheer on the Three Lions.
Fan zones have been set up and some pubs will be playing the game on large outdoor screens. One venue has even planned a unique food menu, especially for the day.
Here are 11 of the best East Lancashire places to cheer on England this weekend:
1. Free fanzone in Colne
The free fan zone will be located in Alkincoates Park, Colne and will be a follow-on from Colne Town Council’s planned family fun day. It will be open from 6pm.
The fan zone will also feature some pre-match entertainment, children’s fun fair rides, England-themed face painting, a large outdoor screen to show the match and an unmissable atmosphere and not to forget everyone is welcome!
Nathan Cutler, Colne Town Council’s events officer, said, “Everyone is invited to come along and cheer on the three lions in the Euros Final. We want everyone to come together as a community to back the lads in Germany and hopefully win this year’s competition.”
2. Sunbird Records, Darwen
Sunbird Records is well prepared for the final, with giant indoor and outdoor screens.
Tickets are free but can be booked online to guarantee entry.
There will also be live music from 3pm from Danbert Nobacon (Chumbawamba) and special guests Sage and Gaz of Notsensibles.
A spokesperson said: “Join us on Sunday for the Euro 2024 final. As always, we’ve got our giant indoor and outdoor screens and plenty of seating plus standing room.
“Free tickets available to guarantee entry from 5pm and booths and tables can be reserved by messaging the page.”
3. The Royal Dyche, Burnley
The Royal Dyche has a large screen outside with a big marque, meaning you won’t have to worry about the weather disrupting your day.
The Royal Dyche is giving out wristbands for the final, which are free. There will be live music from 4pm.
A spokesperson said: “Please do not message our social pages for wristbands, these are collection only whether it’s beforehand or on the day
“No more than four wristbands will be given out to an individual and these are free. We are not taking bookings and we are not charging on the door.
“If you’re one of our regulars or were here for the semi-final don’t worry - you lot are our priority and we got you covered.
“We want a great atmosphere for the final and want it to be an enjoyable experience for all, so get down early to avoid disappointment.”
4. The Bridgewater, Darwen
The Bridgewater had an incredible atmosphere at the semi-finals. All bookable tables are full but at the time of writing, there are tables left for walk-ins.
5. Stanhill Pub and Kitchen, Oswaldtwistle
The Stanhill has a Euros final party planned. It will show the game on six screens around the pub, with a big screen outdoors if the weather remains fine.
A DJ will be playing throughout the night.
The pub will be serving its Sunday menu from noon until 3pm and will reopen for the football at 4.30pm.
6. The Brown Cow, Blackburn
We asked our readers where the best place to watch the game is and the Brown Cow was recommended.
Fans can get their face painted and watch inside the pub or outside. Two pint pitchers are available at the bar if you don’t want to miss a second of the game.
7. The Old Bridge Inn, Barrowford
Our pub of the week, The Old Bridge Inn, is planning a fantastic day with themed food boxes.
The game be shown on four big screen televisions. It will also be selling its “famous food boxes”, with Spanish and English dishes, which can be pre-ordered.
Included in the £8 ‘Final Fusion Box’ is: treacle and beer roast beef, hash browns bravas, garlic aioli, chorizo ‘sapo’ in the hole.
A spokesperson said: “Grab your England shirts and bring along your extra loudest supporting cheers and let's finally 'bring it home'.”
8. The Rising Sun, Ramsgreave
The Rising Sun has promised discounted drinks and a celebration party in England win.
A spokesperson said: “One final push boys! Join us as the Three Lions look to make history on Sunday, with incredible drinks offers all day, including selected shots for just £1, and a celebration party 'til late if England win.”

9. Blues Bar, Ewood Park, Blackburn
Blues Bar is charging £5 on the door and selling tickets online.
It has added extra screens the the venue and members can use their 10 per cent discount on food and drink

10. Level One Darwen
This club is screening the final on its large video wall. IT will be staying open for the evening.
A spokesperson said: “We are open and screening the final from 7pm on our large video wall.
“We have woken up to a lot of messages asking if we are showing the final and yes we are doing this, we will be staying open for the evening if England win as no one’s going to work on Monday. Come down and join us.”
11. The Havelock Inn, Blackburn
It's set to be a fantastic atmosphere at the Havelock. Sadly at the time of writing, all 800 tickets have been snapped up and it's too late if you've not already got one.
