The winners of the Burnley Business Awards have been revealed, with a dog-friendly hotel and audio firm among the Winners.

The awards celebrate the hard work and resilience of our businesses in and around the town.

Around 600 people gathered to celebrate the best of the borough’s business community. The awards were organised by Burnley Council and the headline sponsor was Burnley College.

Judges from the category sponsors and independent third parties decided on the Winners after a round of finalist presentations.

The Lawrence Hotel was given the leisure, tourism and hospitality award.

A spokesperson for the Lawrence Hotel in Padiham said: “It's great for the team to be recognised, we are thrilled to have won especially against such great finalists, it’s a win for the team and a win for the regeneration of Padiham.”

AMS Neve, an audio firm, won business of the year. The company  helped bring the soundtrack of Oscar-winning movies, including Oppenheimer, to life.

It was also recently given a King’s Award for Enterprise.

Emily O’Keefe, accounts assistant at The Calico Group, was named young employee of the year.

She said:  “I am extremely grateful and proud to have received Young Employee of the Year at the Burnley Business Awards in what was an amazing night.

“Winning this award came as a complete shock to me and something I will never forget.

“I am lucky to have been supported by so many colleagues across the group since I started as an apprentice at Safenet in 2021 and would like to thank those who have given me opportunities to succeed and develop in my role.”

Lukman Patel, chief executive at Burnley Council, said: “I know the judges were incredibly impressed by the entries and it was a tough job to whittle down the entries to the finalists and then of course to the winners.

"This was especially the case in the small business categories, which were by far our most popular.

“It’s a testament to the hard work and resilience of our business community and I’d like to thank Burnley businesses for their commitment to raising the prosperity of the borough.

"To those who did not win, please do not be disheartened, the standard of entries was high, and we’d certainly encourage you to bring your success stories to us once again at the next Burnley Business Awards.”
