Blackpool Pleasure Beach has clinched numerous nominations in the UK Theme Park Awards 2024, including the coveted Theme Park of the Year.

Organised by ThemeParks-UK.com, 28,652 public nominations saw 38 theme parks nominated for the awards across 22 different categories.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach's place in the Theme Park of the Year category sees it pitted against other giants such as Alton Towers, LEGOLAND Windsor, and Paulton's Park, among others.

The seaside park is also in the running for other categories like Best Reimagined Attraction, and Best Value, and now fans of the Pleasure Beach are being urged to support it in the upcoming vote.

The occasion also sees some new categories introduced, among them Best Ride Storytelling, Best New Food or Retail Outlet, and Best Sustainability Initiative.

In addition to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, other major contenders include Alton Towers and Drayton Manor in Staffordshire, Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures in Surrey, as well as LEGOLAND Windsor in Berkshire.

This year's awards will also feature a Content Creator of the Year award, as a result of the high-quality content posted on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

For the fifth year, the British public will be given the chance to vote on their favourite theme parks.

"The British public will be able to vote for their favourite theme parks in national awards recognising the best rides and attractions, entertainment and events," detailed the organisers.

Anyone who wants to can cast their votes from July 22 at ukthemeparkawards.com.

Aside from the glory of winning, the award for Theme Park of the Year also comes with a presentation from ADIPS.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach, besides being remembered as an iconic seaside amusement park, also stands a chance in categories such as Best Seaside Park and Most Missed Attraction From The Past, featuring their Wild Mouse ride.
