A man has been convicted of supplying Class A drugs worth over £50,000 in Lancashire.

Michael Brennan, 43, of Broughton Street, was stopped in a vehicle by Preston Police in April.

Following a search on Hawarden Road in Fishwick, a large quantity of heroin and cocaine was discovered as part of Lancashire Police's Operation Warrior.

A further search of a nearby address found over £50,000 worth of drugs. Four people were then arrested in relation to drug dealing and money laundering.

Brennan was convicted at Preston Crown Court last week of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and was handed a sentence of 5 years and 6 months.

A spokesperson for Preston Police said: "Michael Brennan has been sentenced to prison for drugs offences following a vehicle stop in Preston.

"Back in April, officers from Preston Task Force stopped a car on Hawarden Road in Fishwick.

"Following a search, a large quantity of heroin and cocaine was discovered and a further search of a nearby address found over £50,000.

"Brennan, 43, of Broughton Street, Preston was convicted at Preston Crown Court last week of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and will serve 5 years and 6 months behind bars.

“Operation Warrior is Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire.

"It aims to target the individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large-scale drug supply, exploitation, and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.”
