Northgate, Blackburn, 1966
We suspect that this photo from December 1966 was taken to either introduce readers to a new traffic warden in Blackburn or to illustrate a story about a crackdown on parking.
Sadly we don’t have the traffic warden’s name, perhaps a Looking Back reader will recognise him.
But equally interesting today is seeing a busy Northgate and the variety of shops that were on it. Perhaps you remember some of them.
