Members of Rishton Golf Club helped to raise £360 for local hospitals through a sponsored day of golfing.

Rishton Golf Club hosted a company day for metal fabrication firm R Briggs Ltd, raising funds for this year's chosen charity ELHT&Me, which was chosen by the men's captain, Ian Astley.

Throughout his tenure, Ian is committed to supporting ELHT&Me, the official charity of East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

The golf event was a fourball scramble competition featuring 10 teams which ended with Adam Nuttall, Jonathon Seal, Steven Brunt, and Tom Thompson, who were crowned champions with a score of 57.

Head of charity at ELHT&Me, Denise Gee, said, "Thank you to Ian for helping the ELHT&Me fundraising team do more across our family of East Lancashire Hospitals.

"We all turn to our NHS through our life journeys, and what we deliver are those initiatives and projects above the NHS funding scope."

Rishton Golf Club, based in Hawthorn Drive, is currently running introductory lessons for new ladies and juniors and welcomes new members and participants.
