A man has died after an "industrial accident" at an engineering firm in Burnley.
Officers from Lancashire Police and paramedics from North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) attended at BCW Engineering Ltd in Innovation Drive just after 9.45am this morning (July 3).
A man in his 50s suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called by the North West Ambulance Service at 9.46am today to BCW Engineering Ltd, Innovation Drive, Burnley, to a report of an industrial accident.
"The emergency services attended and a man in his 50s was found to have suffered head injuries.
"Very sadly, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene."
They also confirmed a joint investigation between the police and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is underway.
A NWAS spokesperson confirmed an ambulance and a response vehicle attended the scenes.
A HSE spokesperson said: "We are aware of this incident and liaising with Lancashire Police."
BCW Engineering have been contacted for comment.
