Police have released CCTV images of a person they want to speak with after graffiti was left around Blackburn.

On Friday, June 28, between midnight and around 1.30am, several streets in Blackburn were vandalised, in the form of graffiti.

The locations of the graffiti are Jubilee Street, Morrisons Railway Road (pink wall next to BB1 nails), PureGym (The Mall), and further up Ainsworth Street on the building site (cornered off with black fencing).

Police have released images of a man they want to speak with in connection to the investigation.

A police spokesperson said: “We are asking for your help to identify a man following criminal damage, in the form of graffiti, at several locations in Blackburn.

“This happened on Friday, June 28, between 12.15am and 1.24am.

“The locations of the graffiti are Jubilee Street, Morrisons Railway Road (pink wall next to BB1 nails), PureGym (The Mall), and further up Ainsworth Street on the building site (cornered off with black fencing).

“We are looking to identify the man in the CCTV stills who we want to speak to in connection with our investigation.

“We know these images aren't of the highest quality, however we are asking for anyone who thinks they recognise this person to get in contact.

“If you recognise the man in the images, witnessed these incidents, or have any information which could help our investigation please contact 101, quoting log 0446 of June 29 2024.”
