Teenage actress and model Lamissah La-Shontae has shared images of her school prom.

Lamissah attends Shuttleworth College and joined fellow pupils at their prom at Crow Wood Hotel in Burnley. 

She arrived in a limousine with close friends and was greeted by staff including headteacher Miss Ruth England.

Pupils and parents shared pictures from the venue as the school celebrated another successful year.

Lamissah, from Burnley, said: “The love and support from Miss England, and assistant headteacher Miss Karen Lightfoot, has been an absolute power of strength for me and we were all truly humbled and grateful.

“It has been an absolute honour and privilege to have been a student at Shuttleworth College."

She wore a dress by Angel Forever including a train by The Lancashire Wedding House.

Lamissah, who is hoping to go and study A-levels at Burnley College, plays Dr Kate Parker, a trainee surgeon in the upcoming film, Mr Hyde the Untold Story. She was also featured as Sasha in 'JafaIcan' alongside Peter Andre.

She has appeared in more than 50 films and has also walked at Paris Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and Liverpool Fashion Week, among others.

Her mum Zohra also revealed Lamissah had a stressful exam period after she injured her hand in a freak accident.

Zohra said: “The school has been absolutely incredible. Miss England would come and get her from home to take her for her GSCE exams. She was so worried being injured and it was wonderful the way she was supported.”
