This year's Bacup and Stacksteads Carnival took place last weekend, raising 'one of the highest totals ever'.
On Sunday, June 30, the 13th event organised since Bacup and Stacksteads Carnival Organisation relaunched the traditional fair with a theme of "space".
This year, they raised just over £200, with organisers thanking attendees despite rainy weather.
An organiser of Bacup and Stacksteads Carnival said: "What an amazing day, again.
"Thank you to everyone who took part, the aliens, astronauts, space monsters, Men in Black and more, you were absolutely brilliant. We had a packed park full of stalls and rides despite the very wet ground.
"Thanks to everyone who performed on the stage, and Rossendale Radio and Peter Sweetmore for MCing the event.
"We want to thank the committee for all their hard work and our on the day carnival makers who gave up so much time to help make the event a success.
"Thanks to the Army and Air cadets for litter picking throughout the day and their help in relocating the water ahead of the procession's arrival.
"Lots of memories made with this year's procession buckets raising £211.93, one of the highest totals ever, thank you."
The parade left Broadclough Mill in Burnley Road, Bacup, at 11am, with a rolling road closure in place as the parade proceeded down Market Street, Park Road and then New Line.
The fair was based on the football field at Moorlands Park and the mayor, Cllr Judith Driver, officially opened the event.
Free entertainment was on stage all afternoon including dancers, Rossendale Drum Majorettes, theatre groups and belly dancers.
This year, for the first time, there was also a dog show organised by Pups and Pooches in the Sunken Garden.
Next year, the carnival will be on Sunday, June 29, with the theme to be decided.
