An Indian restaurant has been honoured as one of the best new businesses in the region.
This comes after Kahaani Indian Brasserie, based in Clayton-le-Moors was presented with the Hyndburn New Business Award for 2024.
This marks a huge step forward and accolade for the restaurant, founded in December last year.
A statement from the organisers said: “Our Hyndburn New Business Award for 2024 was presented to Kahaani Indian Brasserie.
“This award was kindly sponsored by Holy Cannoli.
“Huge congratulations to Maq and the whole Kahaani Team!”
Formerly a Chinese restaurant, the Whalley Road venue underwent a transformative four-month renovation to modernise the space while maintaining the industrial elements.
The venue, which was also once a working men’s club, showcases a blend of "rustic charm" with double ceilings, exposed AC units, and industrial elements, along with new luxurious fixtures and seating.

The restaurant is also licensed, offering a broad selection of drinks, including wines, champagne, beers, and lagers.
The Hyndburn business awards were held earlier in June and celebrated all kinds of companies, venues and other firms from all across the East Lancashire borough.
The organisers have already started planning for the next ceremony with nominations set to open next year.
