Two people had to be rescued by the fire service, after a blaze broke out in Darwen.
Three fire engines were called to Cloister Drive at around 3.40am.
Crews used a variety of equipment to put the fire out. Two people were rescued by fire crews.
Firefighters were in attendance for around one hour and 40 minutes.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Three fire engines from Darwen and Blackburn attended a fire at a property on Cloister Drive in Darwen.
“Crews used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel, a triple extension ladder, and a positive pressure ventilation unit at the incident. Two casualties were rescued by fire crews.
“Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and forty minutes.”
The ambulance service has been approached for comment.
