A large machete was recovered from a vehicle after it was stopped by officers in Padiham.
Calvin Ritchie, 22, was driving with two passengers, aged 16 and 17, on June 21 when officers identified the vehicle as one that had been involved in another incident earlier in the day.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit took place. The vehicle eventually came to a stop in Padiham.
One of the males tried to run from the police but was detained by PD Bane. The three were arrested at the scene.
Ritchie, of Cotton Street, Burnley, was charged with dangerous driving, possession of a bladed article in a public place, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance.
He was remanded and will appear at Blackburn Magistrates' Court later this week.
The other two males have been bailed pending further enquiries.
