A former X Factor star from Langho is to support country icon Shania Twain and other musicians after winning a competition.

Grace Davies said she is “beyond ecstatic” to be performing at London festival, BST Hyde Park, which returns this summer.

A recent nationwide campaign, fronted by pop star Anne-Marie and supported by Volvic, invited up-and-coming artists to put themselves forward for the chance of performing at the iconic nine-day festival.

Grace, 27, has been crowned the winner from a public vote. She is set to perform on July 7, ahead of legendary Canadian performer Shania Twain.

Grace, who finished as runner-up on the X Factor in 2017, wowed a panel of judges, and ultimately the public, with her smooth vocals and energising pop melody.

The former St Leonard's CE Primary School pupil is described as having a unique sound and a “hands-on approach towards her projects and the wider music business” aiming to “blaze a trail for women in the industry”.

Grace, and eight other budding artists, will take to the stage across the nine festival days, showcasing their vocal talent to music fans alike.  

Grace also unlock a once-in-a-lifetime artist package courtesy of Volvic designed to kick start the rising star's journey to fame, with support ranging from recording studio sessions and cash prizes to an unforgettable festival experience with the full VIP artist treatment.
