The emergency services descended on Oswaldtwistle this morning (June 24) to reports of a crash.

At around 8.45am, two fire engines were called to a crash in Union Road which involved three vehicles.

Firefighters worked to make the area safe and were in attendance for around 20 minutes.

Police confirmed that no one was seriously injured, although the vehicles were damaged.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 8.44am, on June 24, two fire engines from Hyndburn attended a road traffic collision in Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.

“The incident involved three vehicles. Firefighters used a hearth kit and worked to make the scene safe. They were in attendance for approximately 20 minutes.”
