Lancashire is to host an edition of the UK's longest-running live discussion programme on June 28.

Marine Hall in Fleetwood will see BBC Radio Four's flagship show, Any Questions?

According to the programme's website, free tickets are still available for Fleetwood's residents to be part of the live audience.

Alex Forsyth, 'Any Questions?' host, said: "We’re delighted to be bringing Any Questions to Fleetwood.

"We still have free tickets available so please do apply and come and be part of one of the world's longest-running radio programmes with well over a million listeners each week.

"We love reflecting all corners of the country on Any Questions?

"We can’t wait to hear what questions the audience in Fleetwood have for our panel."

Any Questions? is renowned for its interesting panel selections, comprising individuals from the worlds of politics, business, media, and elsewhere.

They will answer questions posed by the audience live and panelists do not know the questions beforehand.

The upcoming show in Fleetwood is the final programme before the general election.

It will feature an extended version of the programme, lasting for one hour instead of the usual fifty minutes.

Doors will open at 6.30pm and close at 7.15pm, with the broadcast starting at 8pm.

The programme’s history dates back to its first broadcast on October 12, 1948, and today is hosted by Ms Forsyth - the first permanent female presenter in its history.

The initiative to air the show from different locations every week invites theatres, schools, and other organisations across the UK to watch.
