Two village pubs in Lancashire have been named among the top 100 outdoor restaurants in the UK for 2024, in a new list by OpenTable.
Introducing the list, OpenTable said: “As the weather warms up, it’s time to dine outdoors. To help find the perfect alfresco spot, OpenTable has scanned diner metrics and over 2.2 million reviews to narrow down the restaurants where Brits love dining outdoors.
“The result is our annual Top 100 Restaurants for Outdoor Dining, offering delicious food at alfresco hotspots nationwide. Want to dine out with your furry friend too? The list also highlights outdoor spots that are dog-friendly.”
The two Lancashire restaurants that feature in the list are The Black Bull in Old Langho in the Ribble Valley and The Royal in Bolton-le-Sands, Lancaster.
Both pubs are dog-friendly so you can enjoy a treat with your furry friend by your side.
What does OpenTable say about the Lancashire restaurants?

“Tucked away in rural Lancashire, between cloud topped hills, green fields, rolling pastures, and lots of cows... sits The Black Bull Inn.
“Nestled in the picturesque village of Old Langho, our stone building has been here since the 1500s. Steeped in history it has it's own warm welcome to travellers from far and wide.
“Our menu is fresh, local and has a nice balance of those "pub classics" but brought up to date in modern and inventive ways.
“Dog friendly in the bar area or garden, and plenty of cosy seating available in front of our roaring fires, in The Library, or in our gorgeous, beamed, renovated Fire Barn.”
